How to Stay Involved

Your AMIGOS experience does not have to end after you complete your Latin American community assignment!  As an AMIGOS alumnus, you join a network of more than 20,000 alumni who continue to contribute to AMIGOS, their home communities and the Americas. Find a way to stay involved and take advantage of being a member of the AMIGOS alumni network!

Here are just a few ways to continue to be involved with AMIGOS:

Join Our Online Community

Reconnect with AMIGOS friends by posting stories and photos about your experience through our electronic community. Network by meeting other AMIGOS alumni, and search for a job or post your resume in the Career Center for dozens of organizations and corporations to see. You can event get in touch with your AMIGOS partner!

You can also get back in touch with AMIGOS through other social networking sites like Facebook or MySpace. Become a "fan" of AMIGOS on Facebook or join one of the many AMIGOS Groups, and become a "friend" of AMIGOS on MySpace.

Volunteer

Give back to the program that meant so much to you. Volunteer with a local chapter, host an event or give your time to recruit new AMIGOS Volunteers.

Make the AMIGOS experience possible for others

Whether you are able to make a $10 donation or a $10,000 donation this year, please do not forget to give.  As an alumnus of AMIGOS, you already know that AMIGOS Volunteers make a positive difference in the communities in which they live and serve. Every dollar you contribute provides supplies for projects in Latin America, supports Volunteer training, and funds scholarships to promote diversity among our participants.

Stay Connected

Be sure to regularly check the News/Calendar section of the website to see if an AMIGOS event will be held in an area for you. Please also share your photos and stories with us for use online and in our printed materials, and don't forget to sign up to receive the bi-monthly e-newsletter. Please email Amy Becker abecker@amigoslink.org if you are interested in the E-newsletter or would like to learn about other alumni opportunities.

AMIGOS Voices

“My involvement with AMIGOS as a Volunteer, Project Staff Member and Board Member has been a very unfair exchange… I have received much more than I ever gave.”

–Peter Benziger, President, Lighthouse Marketing Services
